Hello,
I am new here and this is my first post. I am writing because I am trying to understand how
you know if your idea or plan is in Gods will. And what if you have an issue with letting go and
giving your dreams and ideas fully to God? I know I struggle with doubt. I am a little discouraged
because I am a college student and most of my friends will graduate this year. However,
due to health related issues and emotional concerns I spent a lot of my college career trying
to push through the difficult times. I still did good but, I had to drop classes here and there
to manage my time. Now, I have a dream/idea that is heavy on my heart but, it would require that
I drop yet another course in order to focus. And really, I'm wondering if I dropped the course and
focused on this dream and goal, then not only would I get better health wise but, spirtually and
emotionally too. As a result, in the long run, taking some time for healing could help the
remainder of my college years... but, I have self-doubt, insecurities, worry, and fear. I want to act on something based on FAITH and not sight. I just want to jump and leap to see where I land...!?
If you want to know more about this dream/goal go here:
icoulddance.wordpress.com
It's basically a dream to heal from my own health related pain by meeting with
other people in groups and discussing healing from a biblical perspective.
It's also a dream of me healing completely from chronic back pain,
being able to dance again, and putting on a fundraiser.
What would you do? Or Have you ever made a decision based on faith and not sight?
How did this turn out for you?

It gets easier as time goes by! Then you can also ask God to fill you with His Spirit who is truth and victory and love - that gets way easier and is so much fun.
Living in the world and not The Word brings on comparisons to friends or peers that may result in furthering the work of the enemy...so develop a tool to help you change where you are looking for this 'completeness'. The more you look there (to God) and the more tools you develop to keep your focus there, the stronger you become and the more your statements will reflect God's glory through you rather than the enemy's. After all, we serve the Lord of Heaven's Armies, the Lord of Hosts, the Maker and the Creator...not the ugly god of this world.
If a dream is from God, you will never be able to shake it. If you place your desires in His hands and ask Him if they are part of His pre-ordained purpose for you, He is faithful to keep them within your reach and will defeat every enemy, every fear, every obstacle on your behalf to see you meet that purpose. However, if you find that you are bumping against a wall in trying to meet 'your' plans and dreams, maybe it is His way of saying to you that you are going the wrong direction. And that's okay, we all have the right and freedom to ask God to reveal the wall and helps us turn more directly to His path...and He will answer! Free will allows you to choose to listen and respond to Him, or to continue on 'your' path. Either way, it's not easy; but one way has the promise of God and the opportunity we have as a child of God to glorify this Maker and Father and live a life that honors Him, through actions and word and the blessings and favor we receive from Him. He truly truly wants the best for you, and if part of that best is taking you through a difficult time of walking by faith in Him then trust that He will bring you through; and He will honor you so you can then honor Him by living as an example of His glory. It's a merry-go-round, or a dance, that lasts for eternity with the greatest Friend!
And, yes, sometimes evil (pain, loss or illness) exists to bring glory to God and good to you. (Check out 1 Thess 5:18) Understanding the sovereignty of our Creator gives us a guide for this scripture. A God who has not ordained evil cannot actually be praised and thanked for bringing good out of evil. He sees the future and knows how each of us will react and reach for good. and that is how He gets the glory and we get the good.
May God's blessing and favor pour over you, saturate you, as you continue to ask questions and grow in relationship with your Heavenly Father, trusting Him and His sovereignty. And may His purpose shine forth through you with healing and grace and love!
...walking by faith always turns out to be the best way...
