Looking For Work

This is a group for encouragement to those who are out of work or underemployed.  It's purpose is to help one another to not give up but to keep the faith even when things seem so bleak in our country, world, and economy. It's about extending the peace of Christ to one another.  It is also about making connections and helping each other actually land jobs that are meaningful and fit with our calling to transform this world through the power of the gospel.

Happy Sunday everyone!

I don't know if anyone is still looking for a job in this group.  I am wanting to add some people to the team I have.  So, I'm looking for people who are: coachable, enjoy working with others, people who are self-starters, can also work independently and goal oriented.  We have training available.  You can email me directly at:  or respond to this post.  Thanks

I represent one of the largest e-commerce companies in the Northwest and we are always adding Marketing Executives to help us.  Incase someone is still looking for work this could help while you're looking.  It can be supplemental income.  Give it some thought!

I'm reading a great book right now by Dan Miller called; No More Mondays!  Its a great read!  The gist of the book is creating either in your current work place or new work that allows you to work in your talent, skills and ability areas of life.  So..come Monday morning you're saying: "Thank God is Monday", instead of "Oh, God is it really Monday already."  Two very different meanings.  How are we all doing?  Are we finding work?  Are we still looking for work?  or are we giving up?  I'm creating work and it will be profitable.  I'm looking for some team members.  Anyone want to hear what I'm doing?  I'm creating several streams of income.  There hasn't been a lot of activity on here.  I hope it is because we're all finding work we love and not that we've given up.  Lets encourage each other.  Blessings to all of you.

So, How is everyone doin' in this group?  Are we finding jobs?  Are we starting businesses?  It is my prayer for all of us in the new year that we will walk into our destiny that God has desire for us.  How can we support each other?  Pray for one another?  How can we network with to help each other find our future?  Let's take the next couple weeks as we close out 2012 and move into 2013 sharing ideas so we can help each other.  I'm looing forward to reading what everyone writes and supporting each other in networking and prayer.

This is a great place to put this out there. I'm part of a company who is looking for "advertisers" in different areas. Would anyone be willing to listen to an overview? See what you think and see if it is something that makes sense to you? It is something you can do on the side while you might be looking for another job. If you are interested message me with your contact info and I'll get back to you. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Leta,

I feel as though I owe you an apology for not having called you back at your request, it's just that I have so much on my plate and I am not really sure I could commit to being a business partner at this time. Nevertheless, my email address is:

Hopefully, since there hasn't been a lot of activitiy in this group it means that we are all working or at least staying busy looking for work that is meaningful and meets our needs.  I am in the process of starting a business and I am looking for business partners.  If anyone reading this post might be interested in finding out what I am doing I would love to talk to you..  I am looking for people who:  Are coachable, enjoy having fun, team oriented, want to help others and also help non-profits create a stable funding base and have personal goals.  I want to talk.

Please send me your contact info: email and phone number.  My email address is:

I am definitely one of what they call discouraged workers. Unemployed 4 years now and getting old ( 59). Good news.  One of my prodigals came home to Christ and has been clean from alcohol for over two weeks. Bad news, helping her get treatment for alcoholism has put me even more under. She also eats up a lot of my supplements for her underlying nervous disorder - runs in the family.

There doesn't seem to be alot of activity in this group.  Probably we're all busy looking for work, starting businesses etc.  Hopefully, this can be a place of encouragement.  We'll I've looked for work I've started my own business.  I am needing to find peple who want to look at what I do.  I figure I might as well be doing something while I'm looking for something.....does that make sense.  I am loving what I do and want to share it with others.  I would like to create a strong tema of Christian leaders in the marketplace.  I think as we move through this economy we have to be ready to "create our own economic stimulus and not rely on the government.  Keep the faith in what God has called you to do and be open to looking at other opportunities.  Just finished a book:  Its Your Time by Joel Osteen.  Great encouragement!  You all have a great blessed day.

I'm excited.  I just joined this group.  I'm kind of looking for work while I start my own buisness.  History in America shows that small business and entreprenuers are the ones who change America and keep America moving.  Have any one in this group considered starting something on their own?  Just curious.  I love networking and finding out what others are doing or are looking for.  So, lets share ideas and encourage one another.  I want to use my work/business to minister to others and give to the Kingdom.
