The Comment doesn't give you the capability of "replying" to your comment. If you want to reply to someone's comment, you have to go directly to their page and leave a comment there or leave another comment here which isn't directly tied to the originator's comment (which should really be a discussion). ;-P

I have a few struggles with this, as my husband is a strict non believer, and my son seems to be following suit. They say that they won't believe in something unless it can be proven to exist...it's so hard for me to try to explain, or disciple to them, because everything is all so new to me still. My biggest battle lately seems to be with myself...I know that you are supposed to relinquish control, everything is in God's hands, and no matter what, it is his direction that we are to follow. I want...no, desire to be in that place where I can wake up every day, and no matter what battles I face, leave all my faith in the Lord, and know that he will guide me through them. I know in my mind that I need to "surrender it all up to him", but the human part of me still wants to control things. Like the situation with my family, I just need to leave it in God's hands, and know...believe that he is in control of it all. I pray for this strength every day.

I spent the last 50 years denying there was a God and then I reached the end of my abilities to deal with the mess in my life. I went through a lot of tragic times and a failed suicide attempt. It was amazing feeling that I felt "directed" as though a gentle hand rested on my shoulder and guided me. I had heard people talk about the presence of God and I was ready. I spent years trying to figure out things for myself and always found myself at a dead end. I needed answers, real answers and I knew the church was where to find them. Once I got in the church, and begin my relationship with Jesus, I felt whole. I am very excited to have found this site and looking forward to meeting those like me.

As I went through a divorce and medical issues, He was finally revealed to me and it was through Him that I was able to survive. I now have a passion to learn more and I'm pretty sure there is a lot more to learn!!!

He also reveled to me that He was not angry just sad to see me stray so far and He was waiting with his arms outstretched for me to come back home. And that is currently what i am doing and even now as i take my baby steps he is clearly blessing me.
