I am truly blessed by God because I was on three or four medications for depression and the Lord got me off all of them. I was always sick from the pills I could not eat I was always walking around spaced out. I felt nothing. The God I serve is such an Awesome God a good God a mighty God. He is faithful to his word and promises. He says in Psalm 37:4 Delight your self in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Ask you you shall receive knock and the door will be opened. Our God is Faithful we must trust him.

Thanks for your comments. By reading all these, I am greatly encouraged. The word of God is indeed, living and active. I may be still suffering from depression and restlessness, but I put my trust in the Lord. I'd appreciate if you would include me in your prayers.

Hey Lise,

Welcome to the group and thanks for sharing! There is freedom in getting it out and being real, so many people deal with this BUT one of satans greatest lies is "your the only one and no one will understand". Satan loves to get us alone, so we can't get help from our Father. BUT guess what God knows it all, he knows every hair on our head and he knows the pain we feel too and he really does want us to come to HIM!

Please don't ever feel unworthy to spend time with him, because of the sacrifice Jesus made, Hebrews 4:16 says: Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

That time of need is when we feel sad or happy, God does not condemn you because you feel sad and it does not make you a failure. That is what Satan would want you to think so you will stay down. BUT God wants you to know they freedom you have in HIM.

I pray right now you will approach his throne of Grace and find rest, you are carrying too much that was not meant for you to carry, come to him and give it to him. He loves you and wants you to come to him, in Isaiah its says because you are precious and honoured and because I love you. You mean so much to him and he does have great plans for you!

I pray you will stand firm in his truth and find freedom, the best is really yet to come! I'm standing with you and praying with you!

It's good to know I'm not alone.

I've been struggling with this horrible deep sadness and hopelessness for a year now believing that I WAS indeed alone and failing as a Christian because deep depression. I'm  soooo tired all the time that I find it very difficult to just get through my day let alone read my Bible. Somehow I often feel unworthy to spend time with God and lack the energy and even the motivation to try. Which makes me feel even more like a failure. (_ _)

Most the time I don't even know why I'm so terribly sad.

Hey Jackie, Thanks for sharing your heart. I pray right now you will remember you are not losing it, but are standing as an overcomer! Remember his power is made PERFECT in weakness, as you cry out to him how you feel weak! May his power be made perfect in you! May he comfort you and bring you HOPE like never before! May he go ahead and fight for you! I pray right now you will put your hands in his and take comfort in what he can and will do in your life! I know you feel like the battle is hard and the darkness is surrounding you, but I know he will turn your darkness in to LIGHT! He did it for me, he has done it for so many others and right now I really pray he will do it for you Jackie. Hold onto his TRUTH and amazing promises for your life, the enemy and lies have no foot hold in you life! Remember you are precious and honoured in his sight! Remember he has plans to prosper you and not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future and you are engraved on the palm of his hands! He is might y to save and I know he will make a way for you right now! Praying for you Jackie! It will be well with you!

Thanks for your comment Marlynn and yes I do agree Satan definitely tries to use Depression to discourage and make people feel hopeless! However I am so grateful we serve a GOD of HOPE!!! A God who does not fail and a God that never leaves nor forsakes us!!!

I do pray you will continue to hold on and know that you are a overcomer through and with Christ!!

I think of Psalm 42: Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

I pray today you will keep your HOPE in him and he will show you how he will never fail you!

Praying for you!

Thank you for this discussion.  I suffer from this, and I have found out that there are ALOT  of people out there, that do.  I believe that it is one of the greatest ways that satan attacks us.
