I lost my 25 year old son March the 7th he had a virus we all did but he didn't get better the night before he died I came home and found him passed out with a bottle of Vodka we argued this was not good he had been throwing up all week and this would only make it worse. I had to go to work the next day co-worker in hospital he promised he would call me if he got worse. We texted that morning he seemed like himself later that day he didn't answer phone I thought he was asleep when I got home he was gone. He had been in Prison for burglary due to pill addiction and had only been out a year and was still clean from pills he had found Jesus in Prison and was baptized at my church with his sister a year ago April 14th so I know that he was saved but he was depressed cause he could find a job because of his record I am just hoping he did not drink on purpose and not want to go to the doctor because he wanted to go home to e with God he told me he wanted to the week before. Does this mean he is in Heaven? I have faith that he was saved but I am unsure if it was suicide what happens does anyone know?
I'm so sorry for your loss, trust in God that he gave his heart to him in time. We serve a merciful God that is forgiving. Seek God yourself and you will find him. Trust that one day you will see your son again in Heaven. God Bless you may you find the peace and comfort that you need in the Lord.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him & he shall direct your paths.
I realize your post was over a year ago, but know that a loss can forever feel like yesterday. I just want to share the Bible verse that I believe addresses this question, and I also want to end with a prayer..
††† Mark 3: 28-30
"Truly I tell you, all sins and blasphemes will be forgiven for the sons of men. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin.
The unpardonable sin can be studied at greater length, but to me, and in my own struggle with thoughts of suicide, I always found strength, forgiveness, understanding, compassion, empathy, and love from my Heavenly Father. He knows us inside out. He sees and understands our weaknesses with great compassion. I believe if your son accepted Christ in his heart, though he succumbed to his illnesses, the Father still received him with open arms. His love and mercies know no end.
Help them to be strong
But allow them to be weak
Reveal the broken spaces
And offer them reprieve
Bring comfort to their sadness
And overlap the day
Bring rest inside their sleeplessness
And cause their hearts to stay
Wrapped gently in Your arms dear Lord
Deep inside Your touch
Ensuing warmth and peacefulness
Poured out through Your love <3
God Bless You & Keep You,
