Comment by Ken Hirsch, Jr. on March 11, 2012 at 11:40am Strong Enough by Matthew West is an awesome song! Thanks for airing the interview with Matthew about this song and playing it and inspiring me.
My latest thing is that Christians need to be transparent about their problems. I think too often we think that we should look like we "have it all together and are trusting God" when we are around other Christians, but around people who are not, we tend to be more real. We should be real with Christians so that when they(especially a new Christian) have something come up they realize that it is normal to have problems. God never promised us a perfect life.I also think this can apply to pastors. Watching a few pastors in the news the past few years fall, makes me wonder if they felt they could be transparent with someone, would they have fallen so far? But overall, I really think we encourage each other more by seeing someone go through something, and not always having it together, but knowing that when we go through it we are relying on God to help us, but that we may have times where we feel scared, sad, joyful, and we come out on the other side stronger for having gone through it. What better witness that it is easier to go through something with Christ, than without!
I just found Keep the Faith which has already blessed my life in several ways as I was listening to it. I have made more positive decisions because of it. Thanks for being there for all of us.
I will either listen to Keep the Faith on Radio Shine 90.9 which is my local station or if I miss it I will listen online if it is being broadcast. I love having a place where I can worship God even after my morning church service because I don't get that much worship at home. Thank you for this great program and keep it up.

I have another song to recommend for the theme of encouragement. I find great inspiration in the song "The Voice of Truth" which I heard on your show just this morning. We need to consider that the opposite of the voice of truth is the voice of fear.
Comment by CJ Wilson on May 16, 2011 at 8:57am I listen each Sunday on 95.1 in Baltimore. I recommend the song "Better Than a Hallelujah" by Amy Grant for your listeners. The song reminds us that God loves to hear us cry out to Him. In doing so, we show our dependence on Him. "We pour out our miseries; God just hears a melody. Beautiful the mess we are, the honest cries of breaking hearts, Are better than a Hallelujah."
God is not too busy to hear your prayers. You are not a burden to Him.
