I need serious prayers for God to keep my kids safe from all the devil attacks that is surrounding them. For God to give me wisdom to know how to fight the attacks and knowing it is from the devil and not from a particular person. God had protected us for the past 3.5 years but the attacks are still going strong.

I am reading a book that is really helping with insecurity and thought someone else might struggle with that as well. It is called So Long, Insecurity by Beth Moore. It is really opening my eyes to God's will for me instead of looking at myself through the eyes of the world. Have a good evening and God bless!

My ex-husband chose to end our marriage after 11 years together. It's been nearly three years since we've been separated and now there is someone new in my life. He is much younger than myself and a non-believer. Please keep us both in prayer, that God will work in his heart and mind and that I will have the strength to be a good witness. His name is Alex.

I was married for 20 years when "he" decided that a friend of mine was a better fit. I have been alone now for three years. Does the loneliness ever diminish? It is so hard to have someone to share your day with or talk to when something isn't right. I do have girlfriends but its not the same. Anyone else feel this way?

Comment by Trace C. on July 25, 2011 at 12:04pm: Melissa, I have a 16 year old who is also starting to challenge my authority, but I know she is just seeking more independence and knows that I love her even when she doesn't like my rules and decisions. Maybe he needs some choices so he feels like he is contributing more to the decision making process. He will be grown up before you know it and it is better if he makes his mistakes with you so you can teach him how to recover from them. On the other hand, he does need to be obedient and it is good that you are consistent in standing your ground. Don't feel like a bad mom. God has given you the abilities to raise this sweet boy and your others and He won't let you down. I hate the anger that seems to come with the teenage years, but remember this will pass soon. Just keep doing what God wants you to do and try to understand his need to exert himself a little more. This has been VERY difficult for me because it has always been my daughter and myself and letting go is soooooo hard. He sounds like a great kid who just thinks he's a little older than he is. Don't lose heart! God will honor your efforts.
