I'm a single mother of two very strong-willed little girls (7 & 9). God has blessed me with a strong support group of Bible-believing family.  My ex-husband chose to end our marriage after 11 years together. It's been nearly three years since we've been separated and now there is someone new in my life. He is much younger than myself and a non-believer. Please keep us both in prayer, that God will work in his heart and mind and that I will have the strength to be a good witness. His name is Alex.

Hi! My name is Paula.  A single mom of an 11 year old daughter.  I was married for 20 years when "he" decided that a friend of mine was a better fit.  I have been alone now for three years.  Does the loneliness ever diminish?  It is so hard to have someone to share your day with or talk to when something isn't right.  I do have girlfriends but its not the same. Anyone else feel this way?

Melissa, I have a 16 year old who is also starting to challenge my authority, but I know she is just seeking more independence and knows that I love her even when she doesn't like my rules and decisions. Maybe he needs some choices so he feels like he is contributing more to the decision making process. He will be grown up before you know it and it is better if he makes his mistakes with you so you can teach him how to recover from them. On the other hand, he does need to be obedient and it is good that you are consistent in standing your ground. Don't feel like a bad mom. God has given you the abilities to raise this sweet boy and your others and He won't let you down. I hate the anger that seems to come with the teenage years, but remember this will pass soon. Just keep doing what God wants you to do and try to understand his need to exert himself a little more. This has been VERY difficult for me because it has always been my daughter and myself and letting go is soooooo hard. He sounds like a great kid who just thinks he's a little older than he is. Don't lose heart! God will honor your efforts.

I believe blessing come to who wait upon the Lord.  When you least expect it.  Praying and keep asking God, for what your heart desires.  When does happen you are not sure how to handle it.  The brakes on and I want things to go very slow. Still un sure of the waters.  After being hurt by so many hurtful men.  When your son loves what do you do?  You know the love for the this man is their after seventeen years but you are afraid of being hurt once again..  To live in the light and when you show more affection to one another it could possible lead to other things.  I don't want to happen that way. So I tend to have a wall around because.  I want to know if the TRUE and if this what God has desired for me and my son.  May God Bless each of us single parents living in this curel world of evil.  God is our strong tower and protection.
