Hi Everyone,

Hope our year is going strong so far.  You know....one way that I save money...really easily is not to spend my change.  I use the smaller size peanut butter jars (its the psychology of seeing them fill up faster) I never spend my change.  I can't remember when exactly I started the ones I'm on now.  But I have three of them filled.  Simple and easy.  Just thought I would share that. Blessings,

Hey, how is everyone doing in this group?  Is 2013 startin' out okay for all of you?  Are we figuring out ways to save money?  Lets be encouraging each other.  I'm on several blog/groups on different sites and getting lots of encouragement from others.  Hope you are all enjoying life and achieving your goals.

Finally got back here.  Busy time of year.  Yes, Jessica I find coupons are great.  I use them alot too.  I also shop with a company that offers me 30%-40% off plus they offer coupons.  I get better quality products from there.  I am basically able to buy wholesale.  I save about $800.00 - $1000.00 a year shopping for every day things.  I like quality too so that makes a huge difference.

Another thing I do is not spend my change.  I drop it in jars.  I'm amazed at how much money I can save.  Love all the ideas.  Would like to see more people sharing on here.

Have a great rest of the week.

Leta

How are people saving money?  I shop every month online or on the phone and save 30%-40% on things I use every single day.  The products are higher quality, concentrated, healthier and I love them.  I would love to share this shopping place with you and tell you how  you can save as well.  Message me with your contact info and I will call you and tell you about it.  I am wanting to help people so I'm looking for Who I can help and How I can help others.

Has anyone in the group gone through Financial Peace University?  I love the material and it is changing how I view money and how I spend it.  I'm always looking for ways to save money so I will have more to use to get out of debt and give to the kingdom.  Looking forward to interaction in this group.

Great group! I also find a lot of useful info from http://facebook.com/infaithfiscalfitness - they publish personal finance tips, advice, and seminars from a Christian perspective.

Don't underestimate the power of borrowing...not money...things....if you need a sleeping bag for a camping trip...borrow one from a friend instead of dropping $30.00 at your local sporting goods store.  Need an extra table and chairs for a gathering?  Why not borrow a card table and chairs from a neighbor.  Chances are you may not need it on a regular basis, so why purchase one.  Anytime I am faced with needing an item that I don't posess, I first ask whom can I borrow one from.  This has saved my family loads of money.  Of course, always reciprocate to those in need as well.

Inflation destroys savings.  The US government has had an inflationary policy for the last 60 years. They use the central bank (the Fed) to inflate the currency.  It has gotten worse since 1971 when the gold standard was totally abandoned.  We may be at the end of the line as far as so many bubbles that have been created by this inflow of money into the economy. The last one that burst was the housing bubble. Chrisitnas need to wake up as to what their government has been doing. Read this http://mises.org/daily/5202/The-Fed-Obliterates-the-Savings-Ethic
