Keith Stevens
Keith Stevens grew up in
Northern NJ listening to legendary AM top 40 radio station WABC and
dreamed of one day being on the air. At age 11, he started his own
radio station from his basement and broadcast to the neighborhood;
playing records, taking callers, and developing his skills!
He later attended Westminster College and hosted his first
CCM show called “Covenant” which won an award as the best Christian
college radio show in the nation.
Keith graduated with a BA in Broadcast Communications and his dreams came true as he was hired at America’s most listened to station, Z-100! In the mid to late 1980’s, New Yorkers came to know and love Keith Stevens, as “Bubba”, on the Z-Morning Zoo with Scott Shannon. Keith says, “I went from being the “promotions kid”…to entertaining millions of listeners on the Z-Morning Zoo and hosting my own show on Z100 on the weekends! Not bad for a 22 year old kid just out of college.” Keith gave all his thanks to God for opening that door and letting him live his dream. But the journey had only just begun.
In the early 1990’s, Keith felt God’s leading for something deeper, which led him back into Christian Radio where he connected with his audience in a new and personal way, hosting Afternoons at WWDJ-AM, New York, where he later went on to Program Direct and host Mornings with Sharon Davis. Keith’s radio journey also led him to stops along the way at Y100 and “ALICE” 104.5 Philadelphia. He also developed Web Radio for Lucent Technologies while holding down weekends at Q104.3 –New York, classic rock. But all along, Keith trusted Christ as his savior, and still dreamed of a Christian Music FM for New York.
“I remember praying for an FM Christian Music station for NYC. People told me it would never happen!” “Never doubt God,” says Stevens. “He’s the Lord of the impossible!”
In late 2002, Keith Stevens was the first major air talent hired to help launch STAR 99.1, New York. For 8 years, the Keith Stevens “Family Friendly Afternoon Show” enjoyed high ratings as listeners poured their hearts out to him every afternoon. “Keith’s compassion and love for our city is so genuine. His impact is far reaching.” Keith also hosted the weekly show “Made for Worship” and served as Music Director and Assistant Program Director.
Keith Stevens has a vision to reach millions for Christ in our nation and the world. In November of 2010, Keith accepted a new call to become Program Director at KTIS Minneapolis/St. Paul. Keith says, “I am humbled to be given the opportunity to serve at KTIS. It is an opportunity that far surpasses anything I could imagine.” As Program Director, Keith is already impacting the Twin Cities for Christ in a huge way.
Keith and his wife Sue have 4 wonderful sons; Daniel, Matthew, David, and Thomas. (and two really cool black labs! “Buddy and Jake”) His joy in life comes from being a husband and a dad, and sleeping downstairs on the family room floor with the kids (and dogs) for “movie night!”

I grew up in Northern NJ and went to youth group and HS with Keith. Recently I was in my car in GA with my son and I heard his voice on Keep the Faith....I told my son that I knew that voice!!! Love listening to the show on 104.7 The Fish. I was Kristin Heberling then!

Keith
What a pleasure to meet a Christian brother here on this wonderful website. I am making friends here and loving it. I love the radio show! It is brilliant. David Ron Sams has been a friend of mine since 2007. He has inspired me in those years to be true to myself, to the Lord and most of all, he has taught me to never give up.
Your dream as a child of being on the air at age 11 reminds me of Dave, he knew his dream at a very young age too and made it come true! I love the story he tells of how to achieve that goal. It's not the typical way. He visualized his success already. He was there at the top! Now it was just a matter of telling his story, writing it out on how he got there and making it happen and that is just what he did. I liked it and I use that model now and shared it with my son and daughter.
We all have a story, don't we? The thing is we all have different perspective of what happened to us. My life was filled with a time of terror and pain, hiding for 12 years to save my life, going through an entire identity change relocating and to top it all off I got Breast cancer. There was more and it was very serious and I needed the Lord! I had no family when I was relocated, just my daughter of age 12. My son was older and stayed with his father The car we took to WA had a bad engine and it blew up, so we walked for 2 years and 3 months in a small town called Port Orchard. We walked everywhere. It was hard getting used to brand new names and we missed our birth names. There was not one singe familiar face when we needed it the most. I had to start from the bottom with my career (no resume or references from my former name or social security number). It rained so much in WA and then there was the snow.
I won't write more here, there are many, many chapters to this story, the point is, I have so many beautiful inspiring stories to tell from all of this seemingly awful mess! I would accept all of this again, given the choice because it gave me the most intimate relationship, the most sincere Heavenly Father and daughter relationship that I would never have developed had I not gone through all this pain. I would not trade all it took to get me where I am right now today for anything in the world. God was right, He knew I could handle it, even when I was angry and thought I could not. I always wanted to live a purposeful life and now I see just how purposeful my life will be and the positive impact it will have on others.

Hi, I am a 62 year old woman who lives outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on a farm with dail-up internet who does not know too much about the computer etc. I saw on our morning national news about the famine in Africa and I just know another Live Aid concert (I pray) will become another reality to help with this crisis. I was thinking couldn't Christian Musical Artists do the same thing. I mean get together and sing from one spot and sent it out globally and then Christians would donate to this cause also, and u know I am sure non-Christians would tune in and see what the music is like, wow would that be something the anointed of God praising Him across the airwaves........ Just a thought, I know someone from Keep the Faith knows our Christian Musicians who could make this happpen I am sure. God Bless u all, I love llstening Sundays, when I can't get to church and I have told all my friends I witness to about the radio show, gives them a little sample of the heart of a beleiver.....

Hello, I have been listening this morning, I let go of all things as growing up in my parents house. I moved down to pickaway county in ohio after my divorce in 2000. My son and I resident down their for 11 years. Then down their Andrew found God and I became closer to God and began to let go of my past. Now my parents are closer now since I moved back up North to Union county and letting go and moving forward God has blessed my son and I tremendously. Now the two verses I live by Hebrews 11:1 and Pressing on toward the mark of Jesus has set for me. Praise God how he works, now my pressing going through Nursing school to Glorify God in all that I do. God will guide me and get me through school.
