"MercyMe, It’s Christmas!" features classic Christmas songs like “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Sleigh Ride” and members of the band shared what their personal favorite songs from the album are.
“I might say ‘O Come O Come Emmanuel’ is my favorite,” Mike Scheuchzer told Billboard. “It’s always been one of my favorite Christmas carols, but the direction we ended up going with it is completely different."
“‘Holly Jolly” or “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” are other favorites just because that’s what Christmas is to me — especially ‘Holly Jolly,'” Bart Millard adds. “It has this old soul about it and it’s the kind of music that I love. It’s something that MercyMe would not normally ever do on just a MercyMe album.”
