Following In Her Daddy's Footsteps

I ventured on a walk outside today, basking in God's big beautiful outdoors. His vast blue skies and bursting sun in all its brilliance beckoned me. As I was walking and thinking and praying, I happened upon a simple hazelnut colored house, and I just stopped in wonder at the picture before me. The father and his little girl of about five or six years old in the yard. The father is mowing the front lawn. Donned in long black shorts and a black t-shirt. The adorable little girl is wearing cute… Continue

It's not the "how to" I'm missing . It's the "want to".....really wanting to make changes and deciding that the results of those changes are worth the sacrifice.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time.He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. " Ecclesiastes 3:11
From the divine perspective, there is no ugliness in the events of our lives.Because we are made in the image of God, we have…

"The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." Jeremiah 31:3~

Have you ever loved someone who would only return your love on his or her terms? You knew the terms were unfair, but that person simply refused to listen to reason. If you 've ever experienced anything like this, you have had a glimpse of the pain God endured in His love for Israel. He loves His church, Christ's bride,in the same…

hanks so much Tina for your great fellowship....You know when I go deep into my heart I know what you say is not only true but virtually all abuse is some kind of self abuse. We are so imperfect that we even attract those who are very obvious as the perpetrator of abuser and yet so many stay in that relationship....Please don't get me wrong I am not saying we make everything happen to ourselves, to believe that is to place one's self on gods throne....

I am saying that I agree with you when I go deep inside my heart and ask what is it I am responsible for that was of sin that did not work including being fearful and passive to confront until it was too late for my 24 year marriage....So interesting though cause I still believed it was not too late for me or so I thought AND it was too late... for it takes 2 who are committed and that was just no longer there.

Wow that's great that you work in a naturopathic medical practice, the things you mentioned I do with gods guidance each day and have had the honor of teaching a few M.D.'s who just had enough of their unique form of insanity medicine as they put it.

Have a blessed day Tina...I look forward to hearing from you soon, Larry

Hi Tina,

Yes Dr. Dobson is great...in FL there is a growing Christian trend to work at the emotional level with gods grace we have 90.3 fm which is the Grace radio channel and there are constant ministries sproting up along these lines. For me I know I am only alive in god and his grace. So it is important to grow in good health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually...All have their own unique challenges. And it seems the finer layers of self in the emotional body and spiritual body is more challanging at least it is for me. It is so tempting to skip the emotional level and just say well if I only focus on the spiritual then everything will take care of itself and that sounds really great but its a rationalization and as a doctor I have seen hundreds get pulled right back to finish the wisdom of what emotional garbage is left within. People will then say but its not spiritual work and to that I say it is very spiritual work for it frees one to get out of isolation and emotional hell and free to really walk with Christ some more. Christ is complete, he is free of all incompletions on all levels and one day we will be too. I give great thanks for our new friendship Tina, we have connected at the real place where most do not really want to go to....why? Because it seems scary and it would be to face inner shadows if it were not for Gods love and protection...which is why I seek Christ based counseling and as a naturopathic doctor I do this work with patients from the same place...gods love.

I am wishing you a joy filled day Tina...many blessings to you...Larry

Thank you and God Bless. I feel so not worthy of His grace yet I know I still receive it. I recently had to put my dog of sixteen years down and all I see is one set of foot prints in the sand. He is still carrying me, I don't know what i'de do if I didn't have Him by my side.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying.

Hi Tina I am sorry I was looking at a post below as I wrote and it said PA I am fairly new however to this area of FL....I do appreciate your kind words.... Yes, for me if I met the women who god means for me to be with I certainly hope I could discern this...other then that I feel a sense of wonder at the great male/female friends I have made because I seek mainly my own emotional growth and repair and regeneration in full from past hurts....that work goes well because I have some friends I have made who know we are safe from looking at each other with romantic eyes....And thus we have the fullness of the friendship love and sharing of wisdom from women to man without having to censor anything....That Tina is one of the greatest blessings I have ever been blessed with. One day I pray I will live out my life with one women...and first let me be worthy of her through Christ and all the riches therein.... Blessings to you Tina..... Larry

Thanks Tina, I look forward to the same...I am also new to PA and thought the same as you..I listen to FM 90.3 the Grace channel which is how I found this site... I suppose its up to all of us to crate a good space in which gods love is shared....and to meet some Christian friends. Thanks for the invite

    Blessings to you Tina, Larry
