Beautiful

"He has made everything beautiful in its time.He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. " Ecclesiastes 3:11

From the divine perspective, there is no ugliness in the events of our lives.Because we are made in the image of God, we have…

What I Believe

What I believe the strongest comes from what I have lived through with my God and my Savior not what the Book says or what any interpreter of the Book says the Book says. Jesus gave promises of forgiveness that create a different feeling within me than before I was forgiven so I know that promise is fulfilled I do not need another human to tell me that it is or is not. I did and do need the Book to tell me that the promise exists and how to achieve it. I know when God answers my prayers…

God knows How long You Have Waited.

The following is not mine; rather, it belongs to the A Christian's Journey.

I just had to share it with all of us because it is so appropriate…

One Mountain

My wife and I are 34 months into surviving ovarian cancer. Life is hard but if we lived on two mountains as Dr. Chapman suggested two weeks ago it would be harder. We have been married as many years weathering all kinds of natural and un-natural disasters. Better to learn not to criticize than to learn to live separate lives together. Jesus is the example of giving all and that example runs a marriage very well. If you are not ready to become one you are not ready to marry. Self-interests of…

The Vet

In a small community where there was only one church and to welcome all it was named community church. A veteran beaten with memories no child should experience (he joined when he was eighteen) lived most of his fractured life in a bottle where he did not have to feel a thing. His clothes were in disarray his breathe smelled of the demon that had hold of his life yet come Sunday morning he would get clean as a convenience store restroom would allow, dust himself off and go to see Jesus. He…

Pastor Jesus?

How many Christians reading this blog, About the Master's Business, would be honest enough to answer the following questions....Do you cringe at the thought of your Pastor of 30, 40 years retiring or perhaps going home to be with the Lord Jesus? Does this thought send cold chills down your spine? Would you be able to go on with life just as well with or without Him (Her)?

Obviously if you have been under His leadership for this many years you would miss Him terribly. My question is…

Never give up!

Never give up!  This phrase can make a catchy title for books or a good theme for inspirational songs.  It is easy to read these books and it feels good to sing these songs, but when everything seems to go against us and when what we are seeing, feeling and living in so different from what we are hoping,  the…

My book

I wrote a book for women, titled, To Women. I'm not working for I have not found a job. I am making and selling honey pecan cluster to bring in income. I'm believing that my book will take off so I can bring in income as well as helping women, especially the young women, make the right choices in life after reading my book. This is my way of speaking out after I have seen what women were doing and what they were going through. My heart goes out to them. The contents in this book can…

Is your Soul Worth Anything to You?

I am simply amazed at how so many people trifle with the reality of their very own soul.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36&37 . "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 …

Ty Fortner Religion

The derivation of the word "religion" has been a matter of dispute from ancient times. Not even today is it a closed question. Cicero, in his "De natura deorum", II, xxviii, derives religion from relegere (to treat carefully): "Those who carefully took in hand all things pertaining to the gods were called religiosi, from relegere." Max Muller favoured this view. But as religion is an elementary notion long antedating the time of complicated ritual presupposed in…

Trying to Earn and keep My Faith

My name is Lucy Santiago. I just turned 20 years old. I'm new to this. I guess new to accepting God into my life at least I'm trying to. I'm getting back into school to work as a certified nursing assistant and finally turning my life around. I really want to embrace the Lord in my life and i feel like every time I'm close he leaves me alone. Or maybe it is i leaving him. I do know its because of him i realized i need to turn my life around and do something with myself. but why does he not…

Satan's Greatest Tool/ Discouragement

I can't do this any more. I am so tired of trying and falling flat on my face. What's the use any how? Maybe I should reconsider and try something else. I know God has opened this door but nothing seems to be working for me. Sound familiar?

Come with me as we go back in the Old Testament and see what transpired in Joseph's life and see whether or not he had reason to give up and throw in the towel. In my opinion if anyone had a reason to quit and become discouraged it was…

God is constant

Now go, I am sending you

For some time my children and I have been asking God how can we help others, and we finally feel that God is putting in our hearts the victims of human trafficking. I will be honest, at first I thought “but what can I do?  How can my children who are both teens help in such a complicated issue?” This is not…
