The threshing floor

Have you ever thought… if God loves me, then why do I have to go through difficulties?

God has made us wonderful promises “I will cause my people and their homes around my holy hill to be a blessing. And I will send showers, showers of blessings, which will come just when they are needed.”…

The Cries of my heart

The Cries of my heart
22 November 2012
Whoever said honesty is the best policy apparently never kept a journal for the world to see. Some things in life touch us so deeply that we bottle it up inside us so tightly that we think it is hidden from the outside world and…

Exciting things happening!!! Thank you Jesus!

Last year I was new to my job, and after Thanksgiving I played Christian Christmas music (Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, and Casting Crowns) and I would turn around and notice people from the office standing on the landing to the mezzanine where I work, and this serene look of peace on their face, smiling. Even the Mormon wanted to know who were the artists, and regularly looked at my iPod to see who was doing the music.

I've been praying, "Lord, give me the men I work with!… Continue

100 Thanksgivings

KTF Publisher David Sams with his Grandmother Donohoo

Today is my grandma's 100th Thanksgiving Day. Imagine, 100 years ago women didn't even have the right to vote. There was no Butterball Turkey, and no airplane to get you to…

I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name

Fellow Christian brother or sister have you ever felt like your efforts were in vain when it comes to proclaiming the Word of the Lord? I know I have. You want with all of your heart for someone to repent and call upon the Lord for salvation but to no avail. I don't know how it is for you that even though this may be the case; as for me, I have this burning desire to press on that can only be attributed to the work of the Holy Spirit in my…

Warriors unite to kill cancer in our lifetime!

Warriors unite to kill cancer in our lifetime!

My wife working as hard as she could on the Hearts of Teal website while making it through a full ovarian cancer treatment schedule had version three change to four on her major program which changed positions on almost all of her work hiding the places where code should fit on the new version 4. 2 to 3 thousand people use the support forum where you get technical help most of which are crying the same tears as her as there work…

One matters to God

Have you ever felt overwhelmed when facing big issues such as poverty, environmental degradation or human trafficking to name a few? Have you thought that any action you take is so small and insignificant, so why even bother?

I am sure you have heard the story of the boy who was picking up…

Thank You Jesus

My wife working as hard as she could on the Hearts of Teal website had version three change to four on her major program which changed positions on a lot of her work hiding the places that work should fit on the new version. 2 to 3 thousand people use the support forum where you get technical help most of which are crying the same tears as her as there work is just as misplaced so she was effectively stalled with the fallen angels rejoicing. A man named Trevor had given her support before…

Jesus is Coming so Who Cares Anyway?

Lately I have heard statements like these that really concern me especially from  those dear to me. It's almost as if the Master's imminent return is an excuse to be irresponsible; at least that is how it comes across to me. Jesus is Coming so Who Cares Anyway?

Granted all of the signs that point to his return are most definitely here, but that should not diminish our…

Unexplainable Joy

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them. Psalm 126:5-6

Living Faith

We must come to a living faith; that is the foundation. And faith in the forgiveness of sins is the basis for that foundation. It is the introduction to the main point, which is a glorious, victorious life in Jesus Christ. We are to be filled with all the fullness of God—with wisdom, goodness and mercy—so that the meekness of wisdom is made manifest through our bodies. This is a glorious life!

Crushing Trials

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

I Corinthians 10:13

Greetings Brothers and Sisters, in the name of Jesus, King of kings and LORD of lords. May His sweet peace and rest, find you ‘resting’ in…

The battle is not yours

Have you ever been in a situation that is too big, too impossible or too difficult for you to even know where to start?  If so, then you can understand how King Jehoshaphat felt when messengers told him that the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and some of the Meunites had declared war on him…

The salt is free? Okay pizza store and God now I'm impressed.

When I bought my first betta fish, the betta care pamphlet said that sea salt in the aquarium will help make the fish feel right at home. Because bettas live in saltwater in their natural habitat. So I was wondering where I could buy some sea salt from. And then it sorta slipped from my mind until tonight when I bought a take out pizza. This was a new pizza store for me so I told the cashier that I wanted them to impress me. While waiting for my pizza to be made, I spotted a few little round… Continue

Butterfly

So we all know how butterflies become beautiful from a caterpillar. We wouldnt believe it in if we didnt find out. But ever thought that is how God sees us. We are born as caterpillars we have to be careful not to get stepped on, not to get attacked by the enemy, not to get eaten our main goal is to survive. Then as the caterpillar does we go in a cocoon when we find God he pulls us toward him and helps us become the beautiful amazing person God wants us to be. While we are in the cocoon he… Continue

What is Your Purpose in Living?

If you were to ask any of your friends or even a perfect stranger on a street: "What is Your Purpose in Living?", you would be amazed at their responses. Oddly enough, most people haven't a clue! I asked just two of my co-workers this question and much to my surprise they didn't know their purpose in living. One of them tried to get back at me because I kinda chuckled at his response. When I told him my purpose for living was to reach as…

You Have Shown Me Love - a song

This is one of my favorite songs, and it's message often grabs my heart and brings a longing and crying out for the lost...

You have shown me love like, I never thought I'd ever find

Perhaps that's why I always seem to find You on my mind!

You're taking me somewhere, and promising You'll always be there

Please forgive the times I feel, You're too good to be true

Unfolding Your awesome plan, though I just don't understand

Why some…

The evolution of knowing God

So, I'm in church today, and it's been two weeks since the illuminations He gave me concerning His nature, which included what it means when the Psalmist and others wrote that "He is holy".  He is self-existing, and in Revelation where they say "..for You created all things.."  then think about what it must have been like without the world, the planets, no people, no animals, nothing anywhere. And even that which we think we know about the universe, and the vastness of space, black holes,…
