Have you ever done what God asked you to do and things seem to get worst?

Have you ever done what God asked you to do and things seem to get worst?

Things tend to get worst not because of our obedience to God or His commands for our life, they get worst because of our interjection of our common sense to a perceived reasonable conclusion. Remember, our God isn't common - He's holy and His ways are holy. He doesn't operate to the compliance of our common sense He consecrates our senses to the level of His holiness. As you stand… Continue

Journey, Part 3

When I last wrote, I was speaking of my childhood. But as you know children grow, and so my story continues.

When I was seven or eight years old, being Christians my parents let me be involved with the Good News Club. A group of people from a church close to the school where I went, would come pick us up on a bus and take us to the church and talk to us about Jesus. It was like going to Sunday school except it was during the week. It was a lot of fun, we sang songs, and learned that…

The Journey, Part 1

As far back as I can remember I've always said and believed that I am a Christian ( A Christ follower ). I grew up in going to church three times a week. My parents loved the Lord with all their hearts, and did the best they could in showing us how to live the Christian lifestyle. I know all the right things to say and the right things to do and how to act. I know all the "Christian ease" (lingo). But just because I went to church with my parents every week doesn't mean I had a personal…

Journey, Part 2

As a little girl I remember always wanting lots of hugs and loves. I grew up in a very loving home, and like any great parents, my parents always gave out hugs and love without question to my two older sisters and myself, they spent lots of time with us, and we had many big family dinners, all the time. We were and still are a very close family.

I was and still am the really sensitive one of the three of us girls. Not that my older sisters weren't (aren't ) sensitive, they are, and…

I took my 13 year old son and his friend to the Rock & Worship Tour last night in Ontario.  This was their first concert and God did not disappoint!  Not that he ever would.  Awesome, AWESOME event!  The Word tells us that where ever two or more are gathered He will be in the midst.  Jesus was certainly in the midst and the Holy Spirit was touching lives and blessing hearts!   Thank God for the tools and instruments He uses to bless His children and call others to His flock! End Times?

Earthquakes, tsunamis, world financial markets crashing, rioting in the streets and revolutions in the middle east as governments topple, eratic weather around the world...and Charlie Sheen taking over the airwaves! Makes you wonder. Seriously.

Present Testing .....

Is God presently testing you in some area of your life? What has His testing revealed? Have you become bitter toward God because of where He has led you? Or have you come to trust Him more as a result of what you have gone through? Do you focus only at the problem at hand or do you focus on His divine Grace and provision that maintains you, sustains you, and creates something special to blossom and flourish in all aspects of your life? There is a treasure at the end of the… Continue

Proclaimng the Resurrection to the Nations

Greetings in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Each year as Easter draws near, I’m reminded of God’s love and His unwavering commitment to us. The newness of life that we have in Him is beyond anything we can imagine (2 Corinthians 5:17). The reality of this was something I’m sure the disciples clung to while living and ministering alongside the Savior. They watched how He related to people from various walks of life. And they were probably spellbound at the hope He…

Reflections on Church, Country, and Culture

As I look around America I see is a country that has lost its way; a nation that is a far reaching empire where its people still think we are a republic. Actually, they think we are a democracy and if we can just get along and dialog; things will change. I see people who are lost (that is they don’t know…

Revelation Made Easy

I just finished the book The Book of Revelation Made Easy by Kenneth Gentry. I highly recommend it as a very assessable intoduction to Revelation. The following is an update to my introduction that I did a few years ago.

The Apocalypse of the Lamb, His Bride, and the Great Whore

The book of Revelation (the Apocalypse) presents a conundrum to most modern American Christians. This is understandable because:

a) It is…

My God Story of 2001

This is the story of some major life changing events in my life that occurred in 2001. It is for all who are interested, but more for those whom I have known for many years, yet didn’t have a connection with during this time in my life. It will be a long story, but there are different elements that I have tried to encompass so you have an understanding of what I went through and how it affects my life now. Feel free to ask questions as I may have missed something or it wasn't clear. This is my… Continue

Prayer for Egyptian Believers

This is a wonderful response to the events in Egypt

by Anne Graham Lotz

Along with the rest of the Body of Christ worldwide, my attention has been riveted on the events unfolding in Egypt. My spirit resonates with the heart-felt cry for freedom of hundreds of thousands of people who have demonstrated in the streets. I have cried with them, danced with them, sung with them, and rejoiced with them as they have celebrated the unprecedented collapse of an oppressive…

Caring for the Orphaned Children through Hope Centers

There are more than 143 million orphaned or abandoned children in the world today. Equivalent to nearly half of the U.S. population, this staggering number of young, helpless souls is difficult to imagine. Yet, Nations for Jesus (NFJ) believes each child is loved by God and created to know Him, which is why NFJ is taking bold steps to reach them with the gospel and provide for their needs.

Nations for Jesus offers a dynamic approach to helping orphans throughout the world by…

Hearing God

Have you ever wondered why it seems there are times when you hear God's voice clearly and times when you absolutely don't hear His voice?  I've wondered the same thing and it's during those times that I've either had a major breakthrough or a breakdown.  The "through" or "down" was always dependent on my ability to exercise faith and trust that what God said remained true regardless of how things looked.  I've also found that there are a myriad of competing voices that seem to rise during…

Belief of Grace

A clearly defined belief of Grace will produce a precisely persuasive ability to overcome all the "wish I had better thoughts" to "I know I am better thoughts" because of Christ. Decisively decide to strengthen your belief into the promises of God each moment your tempted not to, and success will not just be a dream a far off, but a reality right here- right now.

Communication

Communication

In my experience as a leader, communication is a vital element to being successful. Communication is so important, that you may be successful for a little while but after some time things will start to take its toll on you and your life. I am going to give a few examples from my own experience and some bible verses to help solidify the importance of communication.

In my first role as a Retail Store Manager, I was young and knew…
