"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith". Galatians 6:10
As Christian Entrepreneurs and businessmen and women, are primary focus is not ourselves; rather, on pleasing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we genuinely care for those who are hurting in very real tangible ways then and only then are we pleasing the Lord. We have a responsibility to help and care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. "But whoso hath this world's good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him"? 1 John 3:17 "And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it;....1 Corinthians 12:26...."We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself" Romans 15: 1-3
Even if your circumstances are such that to actually be where a needy, hurting brother or sister is would be an impossibility, you still could be used of our Lord Jesus simply by helping out financially. Now I'm not talking about a tax write off either. The Lord knows our hearts. Remember the widow's mite. Was our Lord impressed by how much was given by those who gave out of their abundance? No!
Let's say you were given word from another trusted Christian friend that so and so is about to lose their home in foreclosure. You want to be careful so as to not receive the credit nor the glory and you have the means at your disposable. Obviously your motive would be right so all you would have to do is send your check to the right person and presto! You would be pleasing Jesus and being a doer of the Word both at the same time.
I have been marketing online for some time now and I am praying that the day will come that I will be able to be used of the Lord by earning supplemental income. (I tithe but find it hard to give offerings unless prompted by the Holy Spirit). In this way perhaps I could be a human artery so to speak.... a channel, transporting money from my home to where the Lord leads. There is so much suffering amongst the body of Christ and there are so many needs that cannot be met by just showing up either.. Let's deal with reality here. It is one thing to help out a brother or sister in need by perhaps taking them to a store or to church; it is quite another thing to pay to replace that 10 year old roof that they don't have a penny to their name to get it replaced. Imagine the blessing to hear from the Lord saying: " I want you to give them the money to get that roof repaired". ....remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive". Acts 20:35
I have been praying like I said and I am so glad to be a part of My Market Wisely. The CEO and I share the same vision: "We are a Fellowship of Christian Businessmen. Determined to live a Godly
life! This website is owned by Market Wisely Inc. A Nevada Corporation
formed in 2010 for the sole purpose of generating profits for Ministry
projects." While we are on the subject, I would be honored if you were to check it out for yourself: As for me, I continue to pray, market, and wait. It is just a matter of time. All I need to do is to be busy About The Master's Business in Helping Others
